Changes

You may have already noticed that the blog has a new title! In the interest of making things as easy as possible, I tried to rename the blog without completely going in a different direction. It is now "Our Family Faith Walk" instead of "Our Adoption Faith Walk".

Please take note that the blog address will be changing soon as well! I want to give everyone a few weeks of reminders before I do that, so consider this your first reminder. ;) When I make the big move, I promise to leave a link on this blog to the new one, but I wanted to also give everyone a heads up!

I will also be playing around with the blog format and updating the pages on the blog to include Mr. Jones. Please be patient with me while I make these changes! Hopefully they will all be for the better!

And because it has been far too long since I posted pictures of the kiddos...here you go!

  1. Hi Karen - This may seem a bit random, but I found your blog through a friend sharing your breast feeding week salute. So many things are swirling in my head, and I've spent the last hour at least reading posts, looking at pictures, and crying for you. As a less heartfelt, but still interesting note to me, It because quite clear that you are AZ locals and (at least Josh) ASU fans. I was also shocked to realize that you are related to Mike and Nicole. We know them through mutual friends.

Anyways... all of that really is to say, thank you for sharing your story and your family with the world. It is wonderful to see what God has brought you through, and I pray that He continues to reward you for your faithfulness.

God Bless you and your family :)

  6. Hi Karen,
I too found your blog through someone sharing your breastfeeding post on FB.
I have also spent the last few hours pouring through your blog and reading about your precious family. My heart cries for you and all the loss and trauma ya'll have experienced.
I tried to find you on FB or find an email but couldn't so I am commenting here.
I wanted to reach out to you in some way because I’ve been led to.
I lost a child early on in pregnancy in 2008 so I’ve been involved in the loss community for the past 5 years. My friend Melanie Yvette Rodriguez and I make graphics for loss families in memory of their children gone too soon, over at https://www.facebook.com/babiilove.graphicz. I would like to make some graphics for your sweet babies in Heaven. I hope they bring a little comfort to your heart seeing their sweet names. Would you be interested? Please email me (amandajoyhoyt@gmail.com) or message me on the graphics page if you are on FB. I know Gracie's name, Lily Grace's name but wondered if you had named your other baby lost to miscarriage? I make graphics on birthdays and angelversaries and would be honored to add all of your special dates to my calendar. I just read that Ember Rose passed away in April. I'm so sorry. Please let me know her dates so that I can make a graphic for her as well. Also, I wanted to let you know that your babies will be honored in September in Katy, TX at an event I’m co-hostessing with Fran Cox, called Light the Night With Love. We will release lanterns in memory of babies and children gone too soon. Your babies' names will be on a lantern. We will take photos and have video that we will share afterwards. If you’d like to learn more about our 2nd annual event, our FB page is: https://www.facebook.com/LightTheNightWithLove.
Prayers for you to have a wonderful day.
    Hugs,
    Amanda
